Read and write reviews about International Development Field Camp - Myanmar & Japan. IDFC is a student council established by students in April 2014, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Myanmar. Based on the idea that "Myanmar and Japanese youths will create opportunities for exchanges themselves and build relationships for the future," we plan and operate an international conference in which students from both countries participate in Myanmar every February. The executive committees of both countries are organized mainly by students. At this conference, students from Myanmar and Japan will live together for about a week, and will discuss how to solve their own social issues. Then, the results are returned to society in the form of a symposium. In addition to discussions, we will promote mutual understanding through various activities such as visiting local universities, public institutions, NGOs / NPOs, fieldwork in the field, and cultural exchange between the two countries. Through IDFC, we aim to foster the world-class leadership of participants and deepen their understanding of different cultures, and hope that this project will become a platform that will connect Myanmar and Japan in the future.
