National Transgender People Alliance of Myanmar (NTPAM) was founded in 2016 by Transgenders for the better welfare of the transgender community in Myanmar. We work with transgender people, local self-help groups, CBOs, NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies and community networks to engage together to improve the life of transgender people in Myanmar and originated from Myanmar. We believe that it is in the interests of all gender diverse people in Myanmar to come together in alliance with one another to work more effectively to stop discrimination and abuses towards the transgender people. Our mission is to strive for the transgender population in Myanmar to have full freedom their gender expression and whatever their gender identity is safe and valued among family members and community as a whole without any discrimination and to enjoy equal rights of a citizen in this country.
